April is Financial Literacy Month, and a great time to talk about consumer protection information that helps people avoid losing money to scammers. Federal Trade Commission data shows people reported losing more than $10 billion to scams in 2023, marking the first time that fraud losses have reached that benchmark. It's now more important than ever to share information about spotting, avoiding, and reporting scams. The free advice at ftc.gov/MoneyMatters will help you.
As part of our 50th anniversary celebration kickoff at ePayConnect 2024, ePayResources donated $1,000 to Texas Jump$tart, an affiliate of the national Jump$tart Coalition for Financial Literacy, in honor of all of our conference speakers. Texas Jump$tart is a statewide member-driven organization that brings together education champions committed to advancing financial literacy for young Texans. The Coalition supports the financial education efforts of its partners and affiliates and works to raise awareness of financial education requirements for Texas youth and serve as a resource hub for Texans interested in financial education. An additional $250 was donated on behalf of our conference attendees as part of the attendee 50/50 raffle. Thank you to all who supported this worthy cause!
